incredible feature

in cred ible

Yesterday, FlyingOver50 experienced a new high!  We were the subject of a full on photo/video/interview/performance shoot for the veteran news agency Incredible Features.  They found us on Facebook – ( go figure !) .. and wanted to capture the essence of what FlyingOver50 is all about.

The experience made me even more cognizant of just so many gifts bestowed me.  My friend and client Dr. Boogie did my ( magnificent ) hair and my teacher Allison Jones opened up her studio space at Tilt Studios for the shoot and also gave me creative direction during the shoot.

The Incredible Features staff was professional, warm and fun.  They included Jeffery R. Warner, a veteran photographer who has traveled the world shooting ‘incredible features,’ his brilliant right hand woman, Naima Jones, make up artist, Diana Mayo and his trusty photographer assistant, Zasi !

The shoot also got me to thinking, “how did I get here” and what a journey it has been.  I’ll be 55 in January – and my life doesn’t look anything like I would have predicted it would look like.  I’ve been poling almost five years now and my poling ‘hobby’ is opening up more doors than I would have ever imagined.

I am inspiring women (and men) around the world with my pole feats and aerial art and  I’m just literally in awe about all of it.  My first FlyingOver50 blog was just a few months ago and this is our third and biggest interview in a very short time.

If you are reading this, please, never be afraid to fly or have a fear of heights – you never know how far God/dess wants to take you !

Sending a huge thank you to Incredible Features !  You guys are simply – incredible!!!
